SlimTimer: New Reporting Features
Posted by Richard White Thu, 21 Sep 2006 21:39:00 GMT
I took a break from building the SlimTimer API to add some much needed features to reporting:
- For our international users there are two new report options: format numbers with commas (1,5 instead of 1.5) and CSV export using semicolons (; instead of ,).
- A ‘Today’ time range option which is especially useful for…
- A Timesheet report

Now, back to the API. Enjoy!
Yay timesheets!
Been using SlimTimer for a while now and am finding it extremely useful. So, just want to say thanks!
Very nicely done. Great work. There are so many Time sheet reports that don’t give us what we simply want. And you being a down to earth web developer saw that need and saw what the current apps were failing in… Simplicity. Its easy to go and setup an account on Basecamp, but for the average development team it isnt nessecary. Too much bulk to get to the functions we really need. Kudos Richard. +Feed.
Thanks everyone for the kind words.
@Frank: Too true. The biggest concern from here on out is making sure I don’t ever violate the simplicity of the site with new features, it’s a tough line to walk.
Can you PLEASE add 2 very needed faetures…
1) A calendar control on edit entries page or some other way to navigate other than 1 day at a time. Adding an entry that occured for a task a few months ago is painful.
2) From the tasks list, a way to click on the task name and view all the time entries for that task without having to run a report. Ideally with a date range..
Other than that… this application ROCKS!
